Ballistic and Conical Cemented Carbide Buttons
Ballistic and conical buttons are primarily used in medium-hard to hard formation rotary drill and percussion bits. They can be manufactured to customer-specific requirements or standard geometries where tooling already exists.
Chisel Cemented Carbide Buttons
Our product range covers customer specials and standard geometries. The chisel geometry, in conjunction with advanced grade technology, improves button strength and minimizes breakage during operation.
Flat and Semi-round Top Geometry Buttons
These buttons are used to reduce wear adjacent to the Gage on the legs and cones of rotary drill bits. Shapes can be manufactured to exact customer specifications or in a standard option where tooling is available.
Hemispheric Cemented Carbide Buttons
Hemispherical buttons feature a full radius and are used in medium to medium-hard formations for rotary drill and percussion bits. They can also be manufactured with a larger nose radius for applications where extra strength is required.
Sculptured Cemented Carbide Buttons

Serrated Cemented Carbide Buttons
Similar to flat geometry buttons, serrated buttons prevent wear on steel surfaces such as the legs and cones of rotary drill bits. The primary advantage is that the location pocket does not need precision drilling, providing a better grip. Serrated buttons are an economical option for many operations.
Wedge Crested Cemented Carbide Buttons
This type of button is predominantly used in the outer or Gage row on rotary drill bits. The wedge design is specifically engineered to increase button strength and durability.
